April 26th

Hello parents and Guardians

We hope that you enjoyed some quality family time this weekend outside in the sun!

Thank you to all of the children who took part in the St George Trivia!! Our winners will be receiving an email tomorrow morning!!

Here are the answers to your questions: St George was born in Turkey. His shield is white with a red cross. Countries that have St George as their patron Saint are: England, Georgia, Ethiopia, Portugal, Brazil, Russia, Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro. CIties where you can find his statue in a public place: Berlin, Prague, Zagreb, Tbilisi, Moscow. He died on April 23rd in the year of 303. Here is a compilation of the words that you used to describe him. We are very proud to have such a wonderful Saint as a role model for our students.

The Minister of Education Mr Lecce, made an announcement this morning that schools would remain closed until at least the end of May. Here is the link to his press release.

Mr. Mackenzie gave us a challenge last week - to skip for 1 minute (not as easy as you would think!) We are now putting that challenge to you! Here’s the link to our clip! Send us your clip...that’s if you're up for the challenge!

Will you be moving between now and September 2020? Will you be leaving St George School? Please send us an email so that we can be sure to prepare the documents at our end.

We will be sending another update on Friday this week with an outline of activities for next week’s Catholic Education Week (May 4-8th)

Thank you for your continued support, for your patience and understanding. We are in this together. The health of our family and community is our priority during this time.

As always, please send me an email if I can be of assistance to you. Roisin.philippe@ocsb.ca

Take care and stay safe!!
