A great day was had by all! Our Monster Mash was a HUGE SUCCESS! Thank you for your help with fundraising and for your generous contributions! WE HIT THE $10 000 MARK! The class that has raised the most money will be choosing between Duct taping Mrs Philippe to a wall OR pouring a bucket of ICE on her head! The Grand Total will be shared with you on Monday once the final donations are collected and tabulated. If we get to $11 000 by Monday, the ST GEORGE STAFF will be dancing the MACARENA in the school yard for all of the students! The SchoolCash link School Cash Monster Mash will remain live until Monday morning.
Thank you to our amazing School Council who sought out and provided many, many amazing prizes - Tickets to a SENS game, Tickets to a 67’s game, Cineplex Basket of fun, YOW Popcorn gift card, Suzie Q Donuts gift cards, Little Joe Berries Gift Cards and Strawberry Blond Gift Cards - 28 gifts in total! On Monday we will be awarding one primary student and one junior student who raised the most money for their division a $50 Merry Dairy Prize each! Our School Council also ensured that we had the AMAZING DJ GRIMMY again this year to help us dance the afternoon away. Thank you once more for your amazing support!!
BIG SHOUT OUT to Azure Urban Developments for their generous contribution as well - pushed us just over the $10 000 mark!
Message from our OPH nurse:
How to ensure a safe Halloween for your children:
· Be creative and build the face covering into your costume, but know that a costume mask is not a substitute for a face covering, and that a costume mask should not be worn over a non-medical mask or face covering because it can be dangerous if the costume mask makes it hard to breathe.
· If you choose to collect or give out treats:
· Do not sing or shout for your treats.
· Keep interactions brief with those giving out treats.
· Use hand sanitizer often, especially before and after handling your face covering, after touching frequently touched surfaces, when you arrive home from trick-or-treating, and before and after handling or eating treats.
· There is no need to clean or disinfect pre-packaged treats.
· Give out only purchased and packaged treats.

Hello St George School Community!
We are super excited to announce that we will be having our Monster Mash fundraiser again this year! Our amazing School Council has been working hard organizing this event once more! If you are able to lend a hand with the organization, please email the council - firstname.lastname@example.org
This is our main fundraiser and provides funds for various activities and supplies for the students. We rely on these funds to provide all the extras that enhance the students school experience, such as guest presenters, virtual workshops, tech tools, yard equipment, and much more. We currently have a courtyard improvement project that requires much funding as well. This is a project that is being planned by the whole school in conjunction with members from the community. There will be more information shared about this project in the not too distant future.
To reward the students for raising funds, the council organizes various prizes as well as a halloween dance party equipped with DJ and all for the whole school - hence THE MONSTER MASH! We will follow COVID-19 guidelines by having it outside, each cohort will have their scheduled time with our rocking DJ, dancing away to fun tunes! Sorry but unfortunately no parents can attend again this year, but we will take lots of pictures to share.
We have launched the fundraiser today with the students. You may have noticed the fabulous signs on our school property - thanks to our School Council.
We are not collecting cash, instead all donations must be put through School Cash. Here is the link for School Cash Monster Mash that can be shared with anyone who would like to contribute!
Thank you for continued support! It is greatly appreciated!
Have a wonderful weekend!!
